Here are more insights from Alok Hada, as shared with team ABT

Who is your inspiration & why?
My Dad. He is a self made man and the most positive and optimistic person I have ever known.

Tell us about Anusha Technovision & its reach so far.
Anusha Technovision is a 15 year old company and we are the largest provider of Lighting controls in India today. We have offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore and offer a one stop solution for Lighting controls, Home Automation, Audio, Video and security solutions to customers in residential, hospitality and the corporate sector.

What are the latest trends in the industry today?
In India, lighting controls and automation are increasingly becoming the norm for homes. In Home Theatres, 3D audio and 4k resolution projectors are a must. In controls, voice activation is the latest feature being asked for. 4k Blue Ray DVDs may help the big hardware guys like Samsung and Sony bring the Blue ray/4k “players” back in the home segment.

How do you manage to create a niche for your services & products?
Service is the key. As we all know bad word spreads faster than good word. I always believe in fulfilling commitments. Being on top of the latest technology in our field is also a must.

Do you face any challenges? How do you overcome them?
Competitors, who sell products and services at very low costs, looking at only the very short term, are our biggest challenges. We try to overcome them by a) Increasing the product and service offering so that we can be a one stop solution b) Maintaining a large service team so that our reputation for superior service convinces the clients to pay us more.

What’s your philosophy when it comes to doing business?
We are one of the few companies in the industry in India who refused to sell by “under invoicing” to save taxes, all these years to home owners. My business philosophy is “Under commit and Over perform”, rather than vice versa.

Tell us about your most cherished moment/milestone
I always wanted to have a state of the art experience centre where we could invite potential customers to see and experience for themselves what the latest in Home automation was all about. We opened our new experience last year and I can say with confidence that in terms of showcasing a mix of technology and beautiful interiors we are up there with the best. Also a repeat annual cherished moment is when we get the leading- all India Lutron partner award, as we have- been getting, for the past 3 years.

What would you like to achieve in the coming years?
To be the company that has a presence in all the major cities in India. To be a brand name that is recognized for excellence in service in the field of Automation, Lighting controls and A/V.
