SINGAPORE, April 22, 2025 – In a major boost to leadership development within the tourism industry, EHL Hospitality Business School has partnered with the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) to launch the Tourism Leadership Excellence & Advancement Programme (T-LEAP) in Singapore.
Set against the backdrop of a rapidly evolving global tourism landscape, T-LEAP aims to equip senior executives and business leaders with the critical leadership, sustainability, and technology skills needed to future-proof the sector. Designed collaboratively by EHL and STB, the five-day executive programme takes place at the EHL Campus (Singapore), immersing participants in hands-on learning tailored to the unique demands of the tourism industry.
Empowering Tourism Leaders for Tomorrow
At the heart of T-LEAP are three thoughtfully crafted modules—Leadership Excellence & Strategic Growth, Sustainability & Innovation, and Technology & Digital Transformation. These modules address everything from strategic planning and sustainable tourism practices to harnessing artificial intelligence and digital technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Graduates will not only leave with sharpened leadership acumen and valuable sustainability insights but will also become part of the Singapore Leaders Network (SGLN), a vibrant platform encouraging cross-sector collaboration and knowledge sharing among industry professionals.
Ms Melissa Ow, Chief Executive of the Singapore Tourism Board, underlined the programme’s significance, saying:
“Tourism leadership development is crucial in navigating an industry that is constantly evolving. Through T-LEAP, we aim to build a future-ready tourism sector and nurture a new generation of leaders capable of driving innovation and forging strategic collaborations.”
A Strategic Step for EHL in Asia-Pacific
The launch of T-LEAP marks a significant milestone for EHL’s growing presence in the Asia-Pacific region. Known globally as the gold standard in hospitality education, EHL is reinforcing its commitment to creating a dynamic hub for tourism learning and leadership in Singapore. T-LEAP is also EHL’s first SkillsFuture-funded programme, underlining its alignment with Singapore’s national drive towards upskilling and workforce readiness.
“At EHL, we are passionate about shaping the future of hospitality and tourism through innovative learning experiences,” said Dr Guy Llewellyn, a faculty member at EHL. “T-LEAP combines academic rigour, real-world application, and industry expertise to prepare professionals for the challenges and opportunities ahead.”
Early Success and Growing Demand
Following a successful pilot run in February this year, the programme has already earned strong endorsement from STB, who have confirmed further runs in May, October, and November 2025. Depending on participant feedback and demand, additional sessions could be introduced, reflecting the strong interest from within the sector.
Professionals from Singapore and across the wider Asia-Pacific region are invited to join T-LEAP, offering them a transformative opportunity to learn from thought leaders, explore emerging trends, and strengthen their leadership credentials in one of the world’s most dynamic industries.
As Singapore continues to strengthen its position as a leading tourism and business hub, initiatives like T-LEAP play a vital role in ensuring its industry leaders are equipped to drive sustainable growth, foster innovation, and shape the future of global tourism.
