DXC Technology and Accelya Forge Partnership to Drive Airline Innovation and Elevate Customer Experience

SINGAPORE, November 3, 2024 – In a move set to redefine the airline customer experience, DXC Technology and Accelya have partnered to offer airlines a modern, cloud-based retailing platform designed to streamline operations and introduce new, innovative traveller services. Announced on 1 November, the collaboration aims to support airlines globally in modernising their operations and integrating advanced digital systems to meet evolving passenger expectations.

Accelya will integrate DXC’s industry-leading Departure Control Systems (DCS) into its FLX ONE platform, a comprehensive retailing solution that currently supports over 30 billion daily offers worldwide. The FLX ONE platform allows airlines to manage all phases of the customer journey—from booking to boarding—on a single, cohesive platform. Designed with the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Offer, Order, Settle, and Delivery (OOSD) framework in mind, FLX ONE enables airlines to offer a seamless, personalised experience for passengers while reducing operational overhead.

Accelya CEO Sam Gilliland highlighted the platform’s benefits, stating, “FLX ONE is a proven, future-ready platform that gives airlines complete control over their retailing—from booking to boarding—delivering a seamless experience.” He added that with DXC’s DCS technology integrated into the platform, FLX ONE offers a robust alternative to legacy systems that may no longer meet the demands of modern air travel.

The partnership also designates DXC Technology as Accelya’s preferred systems integrator, leveraging DXC’s global expertise to manage and integrate large-scale systems for airlines. By offering comprehensive support for modernisation, DXC’s involvement is expected to enhance operational efficiency and introduce greater flexibility in customer interactions. Chris Drumgoole, Managing Director of DXC’s Global Infrastructure Services, underscored the value of the collaboration, saying, “Our partnership with Accelya will bring tremendous value to airlines seeking to modernise their systems while elevating the customer experience and increasing return on investment.”

Through this partnership, DXC and Accelya aim to help airlines deliver more personalised and customer-centric services, ultimately enhancing the passenger journey from the moment of booking through to boarding.
