Irda inks MoU with Indonesia’s Metro TV

The Iskandar Regional Development Authority (Irda) today announced its collaboration with Indonesian television news channel Metro TV as part of its integrated media campaign to promote Iskandar Malaysia in Indonesia in conjunction with the economic regions 10th anniversary. (thestar.com.my)

Irda chief executive Datuk Ismail Ibrahim said that through the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with PT Media Televisi Indonesia, which operates Metro TV, Irda would be able to reach out to a bigger segment of the Indonesian market. Through the media engagement, we believe that it would also enable us to reach the middle-class to affluent segments to enhance awareness on the various opportunities in Iskandar Malaysia, not just amongst the business community but also potential visitors either for work, leisure, education or healthcare services, he said in a statement released to Bernama here today.

At the MoU signing here, Ismail signed on behalf of Irda while Metro TV was represented by PT Media Televisi Vice President Director Suryopratomo. On another development, Ismail said Iskandar Malaysia has already embarked on the third phase of its development which spans 20 years from 2006, with the final phase beginning this year focused on efforts and initiatives to Sustain and Innovate Iskandar Malaysia would be celebrating its 10th anniversary in November and is well on track to realising its long-term goals.
