£20 Million Southbank Place Penthouse Comes to Market in London’s South Bank

LONDON, October 29, 2026 – A four-bedroom duplex penthouse at SEVEN, the final building within the £1 billion Southbank Place development, has been released to the market for £20 million, adding a new high-end residence to one of central London’s most prominent riverside locations.

The 3,800 sq ft home, complemented by around 900 sq ft of private wraparound terrace, occupies the 12th and 13th floors of SEVEN and has been designed by British interior design studio Albion Nord. The wider Southbank Place development is being delivered by Braeburn Estates, a joint venture between Qatari Diar and Canary Wharf Group.

The penthouse has been conceived as a calm, residential retreat within the South Bank’s cultural district, with interiors combining contemporary detailing, bespoke craftsmanship and panoramic views across the London skyline.

Albion Nord brings residential character to SEVEN

Albion Nord, which is responsible for the interior architecture throughout SEVEN, has extended the building’s curved forms and architectural language into the penthouse, while using full-height windows to frame 360-degree views across London.

The design uses exposed travertine and concrete alongside darker timbers, polished plaster and tactile fabrics including mohair and shearling. Bespoke furniture, commissioned artwork and locally sourced craftsmanship are used throughout the residence to create a softer residential feel.

Much of the furniture has been produced by London and UK-based artisans, with the collection referencing the 1951 Festival of Britain, which once occupied the site. Feature pieces include a hand-blown glass pendant by Carricks, a woven rug inspired by the flow of the River Thames, a bespoke desk by Stride & Co and a custom dining table by Albion Nord.

The penthouse also features one-off works from artists including Anne Griffiths, Philip Maltman, Karl Blossfeldt, Ines Fernandes de Cordova and Danielle Creenaune, alongside cityscape photography by Alexsandr Babarikin.

Ben Johnson, Director at Albion Nord, said the design was intended to reflect both the energy and character of the South Bank while avoiding an overtly show-home feel.

“We wanted the design to reflect this, so we have created a space that feels luxurious and contemporary, yet also timeless and grounded,” he said.

Johnson said the mix of antique pieces, bespoke furniture and varied materials was designed to create a stronger sense of home while retaining the sophistication expected of a prime London penthouse.

Views from Battersea to Canary Wharf

The lower floor centres around an open-plan living and dining area with a kitchen featuring polished marble worktops, a breakfast bar and integrated Miele appliances.

Full-height triple-glazed windows provide views stretching from Battersea to Canary Wharf, with landmarks including the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the River Thames visible from the main living areas. A private study looks towards the City of London and The Shard, while the wraparound terrace extends the living space outdoors.

The duplex layout is connected by a spiral staircase and has been designed to create a more intimate residential flow rather than a single uninterrupted open-plan layout.

On the lower floor, a guest bedroom suite with private balcony sits alongside a utility room and powder room. The upper floor includes a glazed mezzanine overlooking the living space and a principal suite with en suite bathroom, two walk-in dressing rooms and two further guest bedroom suites.

Residential opportunity at Southbank Place

Miles Wood, Sales Director at Qatari Diar, described the residence as a distinctive prime London apartment because of its location, views and interior design.

“The penthouse at SEVEN is unlike any other prime apartment in London due to its location, the views and the instant feeling of home that Albion Nord’s design inspires,” he said.

Melanie Conway, Director of Residential Sales at Canary Wharf Group, said SEVEN represents the final opportunity to live at Southbank Place and positioned the penthouse as one of the scheme’s most distinctive residences.

Residents also have access to a private health club within Southbank Place, including a 25-metre swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms, gym, treatment rooms and wellness facilities.

Southbank Place occupies a 5.25-acre site around the Shell Tower and sits close to some of London’s best-known cultural institutions, including the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, National Theatre and The Old Vic.

The development also offers direct access to Waterloo Station and Underground services, placing it within walking distance of central London’s commercial, retail and cultural districts.

The Albion Nord Penthouse at SEVEN is currently being marketed at £20 million.
