V-Green and HKR to Develop Large-Scale EV Charging Hub in Jakarta as Indonesia Expands Green Mobility Infrastructure

JAKARTA, August 13, 2026 : V-Green Indonesia and PT HK Realtindo have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to develop an integrated electric vehicle charging hub in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, marking a significant step in the expansion of Indonesia’s green transport infrastructure.

The partnership brings together V-Green Indonesia and PT HK Realtindo, also known as HKR, the property arm of Hutama Karya Group. Under the agreement, V-Green Indonesia will lease an 8,747-square-metre site owned by HKR to develop a large-scale EV Charging Hub in Kemayoran.

The project is expected to begin operations in October 2026 and will feature 36 EV chargers and 20 battery swapping stations for electric motorcycles. Once operational, the hub will be able to serve up to 56 electric cars and 220 electric motorcycles at the same time.

The Kemayoran project is positioned as a flagship model for integrated EV charging infrastructure in Indonesia, supporting individual EV owners, commercial fleet operators and ride-hailing drivers from a single location.

Integrated Hub for EV Cars and Motorcycles

The EV Charging Hub will combine fast-charging facilities for electric cars with battery swapping stations for electric motorcycles. It will also include dedicated parking areas for commercial fleets, rooftop solar panels to supplement on-site renewable energy generation, and customer amenities such as rest areas, food and beverage outlets and cafés.

The model is designed for large land parcels, allowing landowners to optimise underutilised real estate assets and generate sustainable long-term revenue, while enabling V-Green to expand its charging infrastructure network at strategic locations.

The partnership is also intended to support Indonesia’s broader transition towards electric mobility by making EV charging more accessible, convenient and scalable.

First Major Milestone After Hutama Karya MoU

The agreement with HKR is the first major milestone following the Memorandum of Understanding signed between V-Green Indonesia and Hutama Karya Group in April 2026.

Under that MoU, the two parties agreed to explore the development of EV Charging Hubs on Hutama Karya’s strategic land assets. They also agreed to collaborate on EV charging infrastructure across 29 rest areas along the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road.

In the next phase, V-Green plans to deploy EV chargers across these rest areas, creating a large-scale charging network along one of Indonesia’s key highway corridors. This could make long-distance EV travel more practical for users and support greater confidence among prospective electric vehicle owners.

The Trans-Sumatra Toll Road network is a strategic corridor for logistics, passenger transport and regional connectivity. By installing EV charging infrastructure along rest areas, V-Green and Hutama Karya aim to address one of the key barriers to EV adoption: the availability of reliable charging points beyond city centres.

Unlocking Land Value Through Green Infrastructure

For HKR, the partnership offers a way to monetise strategically located real estate assets while contributing to Indonesia’s sustainable transport goals.

“Our partnership with V-Green opens up new opportunities to maximize the value of HK Realtindo’s land assets while demonstrating our commitment to supporting the Indonesian Government’s efforts to accelerate sustainable transportation infrastructure,” said Ekwan Hadyanto, President Director of PT HK Realtindo.

“We expect the Kemayoran project to become the foundation for expanding our collaboration across many other strategic locations nationwide,” he added.

The land partnership model could become increasingly relevant as EV infrastructure demand grows. Large, accessible sites in urban and highway locations can support multiple charging and mobility services in one place, making them useful not only for private car owners but also for high-utilisation fleets.

For property owners and infrastructure groups, EV charging hubs offer the possibility of creating new revenue streams from land assets while participating in Indonesia’s transport electrification agenda.

V-Green Eyes Nationwide Charging Expansion

For V-Green Indonesia, the Kemayoran hub supports its wider strategy of building a modern, integrated and accessible EV charging network across the country.

“Signing this agreement with PT HK Realtindo marks an important milestone in realizing V-Green’s strategy to develop EV infrastructure throughout Indonesia,” said Mai Truong Giang, CEO of V-Green Indonesia.

“We believe the EV Charging Hub model will not only meet the country’s rapidly growing demand for EV charging but also create sustainable value for V-Green’s partners while contributing to Indonesia’s green transition,” he added.

The company said the Kemayoran project is expected to serve as a flagship integrated EV Charging Hub model in Indonesia, laying the foundation for the concept to be replicated across other strategic Hutama Karya Group locations.

The partnership with Hutama Karya, one of Indonesia’s largest infrastructure groups, also reinforces V-Green’s strategy of working with major local partners to accelerate EV infrastructure deployment.

Supporting Indonesia’s EV Adoption

Indonesia has been seeking to build a stronger electric mobility ecosystem, including EV production, charging infrastructure and battery-related investment. While consumer interest in EVs is growing, charging availability remains a critical factor in adoption, particularly for fleet operators, ride-hailing platforms and intercity users.

The Kemayoran hub model addresses this challenge by combining multiple services in one location. For electric car owners, fast chargers can reduce range anxiety. For electric motorcycle users, battery swapping can offer a faster and more practical alternative to conventional charging. For fleets, dedicated parking and charging infrastructure can support operational planning.

The inclusion of rooftop solar panels also reflects the growing importance of linking EV infrastructure with cleaner power sources, even as grid-based charging remains central to scaling deployment.

Global Network and Local Incentives

Globally, V-Green is rapidly expanding its EV charging network, which now includes more than 150,000 charging ports, alongside battery swapping stations for electric motorcycles.

In Indonesia, the company has introduced incentives for users, including free charging for all VinFast electric car owners and a complimentary battery swapping programme for VinFast electric motorcycles for one year, with up to 20 battery swaps per vehicle per month.

Through these initiatives, V-Green aims to accelerate electric mobility adoption while contributing to regional and global decarbonisation efforts and sustainable development.

The Kemayoran project gives that strategy a visible urban anchor in Jakarta. If replicated across Hutama Karya Group locations and the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road rest area network, the model could help create a more connected EV charging ecosystem across Indonesia.

For Indonesia’s green transport transition, the significance of the V-Green and HKR agreement lies not only in one charging hub, but in the possibility of creating a scalable template for combining real estate, mobility infrastructure, renewable energy and customer services in one integrated model.
