HONG KONG, May 27, 2026 – Wasion Holdings Limited said its subsidiary Wayon Energy Technology Co., Ltd. has secured overseas business contracts exceeding RMB1.6 billion (approximately HK$1.85 billion) since the beginning of 2026, highlighting rising international demand for data centre infrastructure and smart power distribution solutions.
The contracts primarily cover infrastructure and related solutions for data centres, alongside overseas smart power distribution products such as reclosers.
The company said the growth in overseas business reflects strengthening competitiveness in global data centre infrastructure markets as well as expanding opportunities in overseas power distribution sectors.
The development comes amid accelerating global investments in AI infrastructure, hyperscale data centres, digital energy systems and smart grid modernisation, all of which are driving demand for resilient power management and energy infrastructure technologies.
Ji Wei, Chairman of Wasion Holdings, said the contracts represent an important milestone in the group’s internationalisation strategy for its digital energy business.
“The breakthrough growth in Wayon Energy’s overseas orders marks a significant achievement in the globalisation strategy of the Group’s digital energy business,” Ji said.
According to the company, Wayon Energy will continue expanding its three major business segments in 2026:
- smart distribution networks,
- data centres, and
- new energy storage solutions.
Ji said the company intends to scale these businesses globally through localised operations, technical certifications and ecosystem partnerships.
The company believes this strategy will further strengthen Wasion Holdings’ position within the global data centre infrastructure market while supporting the low-carbon transformation of power grids internationally.
Wasion Holdings is one of China’s leading providers of smart metering, smart distribution and energy efficiency management solutions.
Its operations span smart grid solutions, digital energy services and AI-integrated energy efficiency solutions through subsidiary Wasion Information, which integrates IoT, semiconductor and artificial intelligence technologies.
The group has spent more than two decades developing international markets and has established production facilities across Tanzania, Brazil, Mexico, Hungary, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and South Africa as part of its broader localisation strategy.
Wayon Energy said it is continuing to expand into sectors including energy storage, photovoltaics and battery swapping as part of its broader digital energy ecosystem ambitions.
