SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA (October 05, 2023) – All-in-one observability platform New Relic Inc. announced the expansion of its operations to the ANZ region (Australia and New Zealand), with Jason Leonidas positioned as its new vice president.
Leonidas brings over 25 years of tech experience to the newly created position, six years of which have been as Regional Sales Director, ANZ at New Relic. In his expanded position, he will drive market growth and customer growth while ensuring strategic direction. Leonidas will continue to report to senior VP of New Relic APAC and Japan, Kris Day.

Leonidas started his career as a developer, from where he moved across to pre-sales engineering and solutions architecture roles prior to pursuing a very successful career in sales. He held senior positions at Oracle and Actian Corporation before joining New Relic.
The company continues to see strong growth in the region, which highlighted that the adoption of observability is high, and increasing further across the ANZ and ASEAN markets. Observability has proven to be an enabler of business and revenue growth, increasing operational efficiency, security vulnerability management while improving system uptime.

Leonidas’ expanded role follows the announcement of recent product innovations for the company including AI Recommended Alerts, Interactive Application Security Testing and New Relic Grok, the world’s first Generative AI assistant for observability.
