SINGAPORE, September 24, 2025 — Azul, the only company fully focused on Java, has announced the launch of its Technology Alliance Partner (TAP) Program, a global initiative to accelerate innovation and expand the ecosystem of Java solutions worldwide.
The program provides a formal framework for collaboration between Azul and technology partners, covering joint technical integrations, solution development, and go-to-market activities. By joining TAP, independent software vendors (ISVs) gain access to Azul’s Java expertise, innovative products, joint marketing opportunities, and sales channels to deliver high-value, validated solutions faster to shared customers. TAP forms part of Azul’s broader PartnerConnect Program, which also includes solution providers, authorized value-added resellers, and distributors.
Expanding Innovation and Market Access
Through the TAP program, ISVs are set to benefit from close technical collaboration with Azul engineers, accelerated innovation cycles through access to cutting-edge Java technologies, and joint marketing campaigns. They will also gain new opportunities for market expansion by connecting with Azul’s global network of Java developers and enterprise users.
“Modernizing enterprise Java applications is a massive challenge,” said Jonathan Schneider, CEO and co-founder of Moderne, one of the inaugural TAP members. “Partnering with Azul gives us the real-time data to drive transformations across codebases faster and with greater confidence.”
Delivering Customer Value
Azul emphasized that the TAP program is designed to maximize customer return on investment by integrating best-of-breed Java technologies across four areas:
- Developer Productivity – Writing better code faster, deploying more frequently, and addressing security issues quickly.
- DevOps Efficiency – Enhancing automation and optimization across IT and development lifecycles.
- Business Productivity – Driving revenue growth by boosting application performance.
- Cloud Cost Savings – Reducing infrastructure footprints and right-sizing resources without sacrificing performance.
Highlighting the tangible business outcomes, Steve Millidge, CEO and founder of Payara, said: “The Azul TAP program creates exciting opportunities for deeper collaboration that brings customers better performance, stronger security and more choice across their Java deployments.”
Several organizations have already demonstrated results from working with Azul and its partners:
- Moderne helped a global online employment marketplace automate code remediation that would have taken 21 person-years, completing it in days by combining its OpenRewrite-based platform with Azul’s runtime intelligence.
- Payara supported a securities industry foundation in modernizing its financial education platform, increasing user capacity per machine by 2.5 times after adopting Azul’s JVMs.
- RapidFort, working with Azul, enabled a U.S. wealth management firm to streamline CVE remediation and improve developer productivity by focusing on vulnerabilities directly affecting applications.
“Performance and security go hand in hand, especially in cloud environments where efficiency is critical,” said George Manuelian, co-founder of RapidFort. “By joining Azul’s TAP program, we’re giving enterprises the ability to optimize Java workloads with a dramatically smaller attack surface and lower cloud costs.”
“Java remains the backbone of modern enterprise and cloud-native applications, and at Azul, our mission is to give enterprises more — more performance, more value and more choice,” said George Gould, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development and Strategic Alliances at Azul. “The Technology Alliance Partner Program is a powerful catalyst for innovation, enabling Azul and our ecosystem partners to co-create solutions that streamline development and operations, as well as make Java run more securely and more cost-effectively across today’s distributed environments.”
