SYDNEY, October 17, 2025 – New Relic, the Intelligent Observability company, has announced the appointment of Simon Rizkalla as Vice President of Customer Advocacy for Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ), underscoring the company’s commitment to strengthening customer engagement and digital observability leadership across the region.
Rizkalla brings over 25 years of experience in enterprise SaaS, AI, and digital infrastructure to his new role. He most recently served as Co-founder and CEO of HybridAI, and has previously held senior leadership positions at Cisco, Red Hat, and Alcatel-Lucent across Asia Pacific.
Based in Singapore, Rizkalla will lead customer advocacy efforts for New Relic’s APJ operations, partnering with enterprises to accelerate platform adoption, address mission-critical business challenges, and help organisations exceed their observability and performance goals.
“The depth and breadth of experience that Simon holds – particularly within the Asia Pacific observability space – makes him a perfect fit for the role,” said Rob Newell, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Asia Pacific and Japan at New Relic. “Asia Pacific is a critical growth region for New Relic. I have no doubt that Simon’s passion for leading high-performing teams, coupled with his ethos of making customer success the heart of everything he does, will take our team and valued customers to new heights.”
The appointment follows New Relic’s recent efforts to deepen its engagement across the APJ market, where businesses are increasingly leveraging observability to manage complex digital environments and monitor AI-driven applications.
New Relic’s Intelligent Observability Platform helps businesses eliminate digital experience disruptions by providing full-stack visibility into applications, infrastructure, and customer interactions.
According to the 2025 Observability Forecast for Asia Pacific, organisations in the region are increasingly integrating observability into their AI initiatives and deploying more key capabilities to reduce outages, manage risk, and enhance business performance.
“Observability is far beyond an operational hygiene practice. It’s a strategic capability central to how companies manage risk, ensure reliability, innovate with AI, optimise costs, and comply with regulation,” said Simon Rizkalla, Vice President of Customer Advocacy for Asia Pacific and Japan at New Relic. “Now is the time for Asia Pacific organisations to embrace observability. I couldn’t be more excited to join the team and help customers realise what they can achieve with our platform.”
With Rizkalla’s appointment, New Relic aims to build on its growing customer base in Asia-Pacific, supporting enterprises in transforming their digital operations through intelligent observability and AI-enabled insights. The company continues to position itself as a key partner in helping organisations improve resilience, accelerate innovation, and unlock value from their digital ecosystems.
