TOKYO, February 26, 2026 – Tokyo will host SusHi Tech Tokyo 2026 from April 27 to April 29 at Tokyo Big Sight, with organisers positioning the event as Asia’s largest global innovation conference and a key gateway to Japan’s startup ecosystem.
Now in its fourth year, the conference continues to scale rapidly. More than 700 startups are expected to exhibit, up from 607 previously, while total attendance is projected to reach 60,000, including 50,000 on-site participants.
Organisers also expect 10,000 business meetings during the three-day event, underscoring its growing commercial relevance.
Four Strategic Themes Driving Growth
The 2026 edition will focus on four major themes: AI, Robotics, Resilience and Entertainment.
AI will take centre stage, with sessions exploring how human–AI collaboration is reshaping industries and innovation models. The programme includes an AI-themed pitch contest and exhibitions featuring university startups and research institutions from across Japan.
Robotics demonstrations will highlight advancements in humanoid robotics, infrastructure inspection systems and autonomous vehicle technologies, including public road test rides.
Resilience-focused technologies will address disaster mitigation and climate-related urban risks, while the Entertainment track will showcase innovations transforming creative industries such as anime, manga, music and sports.
Global Speakers and Investors
The speaker lineup features senior executives and researchers from leading global and Japanese organisations including NVIDIA, NAVER, NEC, Fujitsu and SmartNews, alongside academic leaders from top Japanese universities.
A dedicated investor segment will bring together global venture capital leaders to share perspectives on Japan’s market outlook and emerging investment strategies, followed by networking meetups.
International Platform for Market Entry
The event will host pavilions from more than 20 countries and regions, aimed at facilitating cross-border startup expansion and attracting overseas capital to Japan’s innovation ecosystem.
Over 60 major corporations will participate, many seeking collaboration with startups through open innovation initiatives.
The conference forms part of the Tokyo 2050 Strategy, which seeks to empower startups to succeed globally.
