Improving lives with cosmic connections

Abhijita Kulshrestha, Director Gemstoneuniverse.com

An accomplished scholar and a certified NLP Practitioner, the soft spoken Abhijita merges her knowledge of stars, planets, gems and the intrinsic nature of the person to derive a solution that is uniquely suited to the individual. Abhijita Kulshrestha is the Director, Astrologer and Planetary gem Advisor with Gemstoneuniverse.com— a global authority on Natural Gemstones and planetary gem therapy (www.gemstoneuniverse.com). She practices traditional Vedic astrology and is a member certified by Planetary Gemologists Association (PGA), Thailand. She is also an accredited jewellery professional (AJP) from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Abhijita is a certified NLP practitioner from National Federation of NeuroLinguistic Programming (NFNLP), Florida. She had won the Competition Success Review “Superbrain of the Year” award in the year 1999.

She strongly believes that holistic and lasting changes can be brought about only when you tune in to your own higher power and absorb and energise yourself with the cosmic energy that is meant for you. A voracious reader and a humanist, Abhijita believes that any ordinary life becomes extraordinary, once it finds its purpose. Abhijita holds a master’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. Prior to entering the field of astrology and gemology, she has had a long stint as a writer and has worked with some big names in the media industry like Bennett & Coleman, R K Swamy BBDO and MICA.

“I love words and I love gemstones and somewhere in the warp and weft of subtle energies of both, I meet life”, says Abhijita. According to Abhijita, astrology is a complete science whose in-depth knowledge can offer answers to some of the most perplexing riddles of life. Gemology, according to her is a remedy with a universal principle where every problem comes with an embedded solution.

In her free time, she likes to read a good book. She stays in Bangalore with her husband and two children.

High point in career

“I cannot limit the answer to a single one, as each time a client comes back to describe happy events and transformations they have had post implementing of planetary gem therapy and using my advice, it is one of the best feelings one can experience. But if one has to zero in on one — a client who wasn’t able to walk for more than 5 minutes at a stretch (post an accident injury) and movement was a big effort; he had implemented gem therapy and came back within 3 months.

He greeted me with a jump and big smile saying this is what he thought he could never do again! And even reports walking longer distances and has even done an exacting pilgrimage in such short span of time. Making a difference in people’s lives and creating hope for them is a high point that I cannot describe in words. Life feels worth it all!”
Most challenging assignment so far

“One of the most challenging parts of my job is when parents bring little children in pain, mostly suffering on count of disease. There has been positive feedback though — people faced with similar difficult situations find us out saying X person has seen progress and positive result so we have come in hope of a solution!”
Greatest inspiration

“My greatest inspiration has been my guru — he has taught me through example the approach to my work, the ethics, the desire to work for greater good and to rise above rigidity and personal biases.”
Most important milestone in life

“Gemstoneuniverse is my pride, its identity as a torch bearer when it comes to planetary gem therapy and Natural Gemstones is something that makes my heart swell up. You will know what I mean when you read independent reviews of Gemstoneuniverse.”
Women are the better halves. What does it mean?

“I have always maintained and this is my personal insight (definitely NOT borrowed smart Alec quote!) — Gender as a big parameter is a constraint! I cannot help people objectively, for the sheer range of mind boggling personal quandaries they bring, if I thought from a man/ woman’s space… to be kind, you need to operate from a “soul space” where all is one…where you can be neutral with respect for All life.

Half by default is the “equal” other half of the whole!

I do take tremendous pride in being a woman. But, while word play is interesting, what we continuously repeat tends to seep into the consciousness and starts looking like the apparent reality.”
