L&T bags US$ 470M order for construction of Bridge in North India

Indian Engineering Compamy Larsen & Toubro Ltd, (L&T) today said its Korean joint venture (JV) firm has bagged Rs 3,115 crore order for construction of a new Ganga Bridge in North Indian state of Bihar. 

The heavy civil infrastructure business of  L&T construction, along with its JV partner Daewoo E&C of South Korea has won a major order worth Rs 3,115 crore (approx US$ 470M)  from the Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSDCL),” the engineering and construction major said in a BSE filing. L&T said the order is for design and construction of greenfield six lane extra-dosed cable bridge over river Ganga near Kachchi Dargah in Patna on NH-30, near Bidupur in district Vaishali on NH-103. “This is a significant win in the heavy civil infrastructure space and we hope that this is a sign for many such projects involving vital infrastructure that are in the offing to materialise,” L&T Deputy MD S N Subrahmanyan said.
